On Sunday February 11th, Schoorl is closed from 8.30 hours for all incoming car traffic. We therefore recommend you to use the shuttle buses.

Shuttle bus service

To reach Schoorl easily and quickly, a shuttle bus service is used between Alkmaar and Schoorl. Haven’t you order a bus ticket during your registration? Ordering one is still possible on site. A return ticket costs € 7,-. The buses leave from Alkmaar Central Station (Stationsweg 43 C, 1815 CB) and Sportpaleis de Meent (Terborchlaan 301, 1816 MH). In Schoorl the bus stop is 150 meters from the start. Sporthal de Blinkerd is 500 meters away.

Departure times shuttle bus service to Schoorl

In order to bring visitors and supporters as close as possible to the start and finish, the buses drive partly over the course of the Groet uit Schoorl Run. Therefore the buses don’t run during the start of the various distances. So keep an eye on the following times and arrive in time!
Buses run to Schoorl from 8.30 until 10.30 hours for the start of the 21.1K and the 30K. From 11.15 until 14.00 hours the buses run for the start of the Mizuno 10K.

Shuttle bus stop Alkmaar Central Station

Adress: Stationsweg 43 C, 1815 CB Alkmaar
If you come to Alkmaar by car, you can park your car at the address above and take the bus at the shuttle bus stop. The parking area is open until 18.00 hours. The buses leave from the rear of the station, from Kruseman van Eltenweg.

Shuttle bus stop Sportpaleis de Meent

Adress: Terborchlaan 301, 1816 MH Alkmaar
If you come to Alkmaar by car, you can park your car here and then use this shuttle bus stop. The parking lot will be open until 6 p.m. at the latest. The buses depart from Olympiaweg, near the entrance to the event site.

Shuttle bus stop Schoorl

The buses leave from the same place as the arrival. This is at the Schoutsakker, just before the intersection with the Heereweg. This is approximately 100 meters from the start and 600 meters from the finish and Sporthal de Blinkerd.
The buses leave:

every 10 minutes between 12.30 and 14.00 hours | Location Schoutsakker
every 10 minutes between 14.00 and 15.15 hours | Location Sportlaan
every 10 minutes between 15.15 and 17.00 hours | Location Schoutsakker

Please note that between 2pm and 3.15pm, an alternative shuttle bus stop will be set up at another location in Schoorl due to the start of the Mizuno 10km. The last bus from Schoorl to Alkmaar leaves at 17.15 hours.

To Schoorl with your own transport

Bicycle transfer point
A handy tip is to use the bicycle transfer point in Schoorldam. Here you can park your car for free and then switch to your own bike. This way, you can reach Schoorl in a sporty way without bothering with traffic jams and parking problems. A nice warm-up!

From the cycling beach, it is another 12-minute cycle to Sporthal de Blinkerd.

Car
Schoorl will be closed to all incoming car traffic from 8.30am. We therefore recommend you use the shuttle buses. Are you coming by car anyway? From the approach roads to Schoorl, the route to parking places is signposted. Given the expected crowds, we ask you to arrive in plenty of time. Carpooling is recommended due to the limited number of spaces. When entering Schoorl, follow the signs and instructions of the traffic controllers.
